Too many hardworking Charlotteans are struggling to put food on the table day to day, and we believe that the holidays should not be a time where this struggle persists. Through the gracious efforts of our community sponsors,
such as Food Lion and Harris Teeter, we have been able to provide full Thanksgiving meals for hundreds of families throughout the years.
Our annual Thanksgiving drive is held the week before Thanksgiving, and our volunteers work tirelessly to fill grocery bags with components essential to a complete Thanksgiving spread, including a 20-30lb turkey and all the southern fixins’! The families are then able to prepare the meal together and enjoy it on Thanksgiving, providing them a sense of normalcy—if only for a moment.
